Prayer Points for NEMI September 2021!

“During those dark times, it was not safe to travel. Problems troubled the people of every land. 6 Nation fought against nation, and city against city, for God was troubling them with every kind of problem. 7 But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded” (2 Chronicles 15:5-7 NLT).

“Let my heart be broken with the things that break God’s heart” – Bob Pierce, World Vision Founder.

“The history of missions is the history of answered prayer.”—Samuel Zwemer

  1. Thank God for restoring peace to the city of Jos and environs after the recent disturbances and crisis. Please pray for comfort and healing for those who lost their loved ones during the crisis, and for lasting peace to be restored to Plateau State and the entire country.
  2. Let’s pray that the LORD will use the occasion of the current insecurity and unrest across the country to increase the number of applicants for mission training in mission training schools, resulting in the number of trained missionaries from Nigeria reaching the unreached in all the nations of the world.
  3. Please pray for great attendance, impact and God’s blessings upon teachers and participants in the about-to-commence En route course – September 13, 2021; Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies (BAIS) October to November module – September 20, 2021; and in the on-going Foundation Training course that will run till December 2021.
  4. NEMI depends on the gift of God’s people for financial support. Overseas donors may be interested in contributing to part of the non-recurrent capital expenses (such as library books, equipment, renovation of buildings, etc.) but the balance of these expenses plus the regular operating expenses needed for power supply bills, plumbing, welfare and honorarium for visiting guest teachers, monthly staff allowances, etc., need to be met by donations from graduates, individual friends, churches, and mission organizations within Nigeria. Please pray for a sound financial base within Nigeria for NEMI.
  5. Pray for wisdom, grace, and access to funds and resources for the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) planning the NEMI’s 35th anniversary and 2021 Graduation in Jos later this year.

Thank you for praying. May the Lord count on you, amen.
